Holy Crap, I’m on Now Smell This!

In December of 2009, a dorky college freshman wrote an email to Robin at Now Smell This asking her how to become a great perfume blogger. To my astonishment, the incredibly busy Robin sent me six emails full of brilliant advice and support. This blog would not be what it is today without those emails, and I could not be more thrilled and grateful to have a guest post up on Now Smell This today. Please head on over to find out how much of a perfume nerd you are!

  1. Just read your article over at NST and it was a really good read! It was funny and interesting. Good job! i’m sure others will like it. And there I am, with my tiny perfume blog that barely no-one knows. Maybe one day it will become mighty šŸ™‚ Who knows.

    1. I’m so glad to see you over here, lucasai! My blog stayed very small indeed for 2 of the 3 years that I’ve had it. I look forward to reading Chemist in the Bottle and watching you grow and become mighty!

      1. Thanks šŸ™‚ I hope my blog will gather some more people with the time, just as yours blog did. I already linked my blog with yours so I’ll be visiting regularly šŸ˜‰

  2. Fantastic article Ari! Its good to out yourself as a scifi loving scent nerd and encourage the rest of us to do the same. I also love Star Trek, Buffy and Dollhouse but I don’t put booties on my cat, he would never forgive me.

    1. I’m so glad you liked the post, KR! It’s been so much fun watching NST readers creep (or burst!) out of the perfume nerd closet!
Zelda didn’t like the booties either, but I imagine she would enjoy declawing even less. I’m seriously at my wit’s end trying to figure out how to get this cat to stop scratching and biting me.

    1. That’s Forreau Noir! I’ve never tried it, but its light brown color meant that it was one of the few bell jar Lutens that I could make pink through an image editing website!

  3. Congrats on your well-deserved and very well-done guest appearance at The Mother Ship — Holy Crap indeed!
As for the new header, Perfume *and* Scrabble have put me into nerd heaven. šŸ™‚

    1. Thank you, Lindaloo! I’m so glad you like the post and the new header! I got it done just in time to welcome the incoming perfume nerds! šŸ˜€

    1. Hyperbole and a Half (the comic from which the picture is from) is such a wonderful comic. Her art might be (intentionally!) crude, but it’s so immediately funny!

  4. Nice article at NST. Hey, i seem to remember some comments about you being sad there are no Maryland area perfume meetups. You should organize one. I would attend.
