I am honored and thrilled to be one of the bloggers with a new paperback edition of Alyssa Harad‘s Coming To My Senses to give away! I’m also throwing in a sample of Annick Goutal Songes, Alyssa’s wedding scent. This giveaway was supposed to be accompanied by a profound and beautifully-written review of Coming To My Senses, but the review in question does not exist yet. I was so excited to go back to full-time blogging after graduation, but now it’s the apartment/job search keeping us apart. I truly loved Coming To My Senses, so I’m not about to half-ass the review. So we have the giveaway today, and the profound and beautifully-written review to follow on Monday. To enter the giveaway, please leave a comment telling us your favorite perfume books (thank you to Now Smell This for the question). The giveaway will be open until Monday, July 1!
Alyssa is amazing and I would be thrilled to be entered in the draw.. Thank you so much, Ari!
As for favorite perfume book? Alyssa’s, of course 🙂
I really liked Jean Claude Ellena’s new book. I bought it in kindle format, for the instant gratification, and wish I had it in book form instead. It was a very good read!
My favorite perfume book is The Guide but only if I take half of it with a giant grain of salt. I’ve also started reading Jean Claude Ellena’s novel La Note Verte (in French).
Oh no! I have read exactly zero perfume books. Just blogs, blogs, and more lovely blogs! Alyssa Harad’s book is first on my list, and the one by Denise Beaulieu sounds fun too. Songes is gorgeous!
I would love to win Alyssa’s book! It is first on my list too. I enjoyed The Perfume Lover by Denyse Beaulieu; it was an education in a number of respects. 🙂 I like living vicariously through Denyse!
My favorite and only perfume book was Patrick Susskind’s Perfume. I would enjoy reading this one, too!
Look forward to your review – I am sure you are right to defer, for it will be optimally macerated when it comes!
Fave perfume books are Alyssa’s, Denyse’s and Chandler Burr’s The Perfect Scent. Have just finished The Perfume Collector, which I think I may review – it’s a different animal and I wouldn’t put it in my top three, but it was a rollicking read..
My favorite perfume book, the only one that I’ve ever owned is Jean Claude Ellena’s The Diary of a Nose. I would love to have this one too! Thanks for the giveaway!
I’m fairly new to an obsession with perfume, so I don’t have a favorite book yet, although I recently ordered Perfumes: The Guide, which seems as though it will be fun to read.
The Perfect Scent was great. I read it at just the right moment in my perfume journey. But I still page through Perfumes The Guide just for the writing. Denise Hamilton’s novel with the perfumista heroine, Damage Control, was quite good. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in this draw!
I have Alyssa’s book (my favorite perfume book) in my Nook and it would be absolutely wonderful to get a book I can hold in my hands and lend to others (to better spread perfumistahood). Thanks for the draw!
The Secret of Chanel No. 5. It’s the detail in the book that gets me. It’s not too generalized like a Wikipedia entry.
I don’t wear No. 5 anymore because my body chemistry turned it all weird. But it recalls great memories of college, just when I started exploring perfume. (My first big girl non-celebrity created scent OMG.)
Hello, after reading this amazing piece of writing i am also happy to share my experience here with mates.|
