The winner of the Coming To My Senses giveaway is Laurels! Congratulations, Laurels! Please email me at scentsofself@gmail.com with your mailing address, and I will forward it to Alyssa Harad. Thank you to everyone else who entered for participating!

I cannot apologize enough for the lack of posting. My move-out date is in nine days, and I still have no idea where I will be moving to. My waking hours are currently being spent frantically packing and looking for apartments that take cats. If anyone has suggestions for safe, cheap neighborhoods in New York or ideas on how to properly pack nail polishes, I am all ears.

  1. Ari , I wish you good luck in your apartment search/job hunt. The only suggestion that I have is “Keep Calm and Wear Perfume ” ❤ to you and Zelda.

  2. Thank you so much! Good luck with your apartment search–I have been there. Everything worked out, but I was about a week away from being homeless. As for nail polish, I’d go with ziplock bags and crumpled newspaper, to minimize the risk to other items.

  3. I have no tips, but wanted to say: don’t worry! Something will come through on the apartment front. Enjoy the move!

  4. Oh Ari, you’re coming to NY!!! Unfortunately I just sublet my place for the summer. I just texted another friend thoug to see if she’s looking for a roommate. Or are you only looking for a place by yourself? The least expensive neighborhoods would probably be out in Queens, but if you get a roommate situation you could live almost anywhere.
